Rachel Measures is a Chartered Physiotherapist with 20 years experience. She is also a competitive amateur powerlifter, and currently holds a world record for deadlift in the sub-masters age category for her bodyweight with the AWPC.
This combination of experience makes her the perfect person to rehabilitate you from your surgery or injury.

Typical conditions treated:

  • Joint replacements

  • Orthopaedic surgeries

  • Trauma injuries (RTA, falls etc)

  • Muscle, ligament and tendon injuries.

  • Spinal rehab

  • General age-related conditions (arthritis management, mobility and balance)

Treatment for all ages!

 

The sessions with Rachel are based at The Gym Lounge in Smallfield, Surrey or at your own home (Horley, Reigate, Redhill areas only), please email me to find out more) and typically include:

  1. Patient history and assessment at first visit.

  2. Warm up

  3. Manual physio techniques as required: Joint mobilisations, muscle stretching, soft tissue manipulation.

  4. Strength work

  5. Proprioceptive exercises

  6. Cool down

  7. Advice for home exercises

Depending on your injury, a typical course of treatment is once or twice a week for 6 - 8 weeks.

​

Please wear suitable clothing and footwear for exercise. 

Ideal clothing: shorts for lower limb injuries, vest for upper limb and back injuries.

Prices

Payment is to be made directly by the patient at the time of booking (online).
24 hours notice is required to qualify for a refund, or rescheduling of the appointment.
For those with medical insurance, invoices can be provided in order to claim costs back from their medical insurance company. 
It is the responsibility of the patient to ensure treatment is covered.

All sessions are £55 and usually last between 45 minutes and an hour
depending on your stage of recovery and exercise tolerance.
